Choral masterpieces from across the centuries combine to tell the story of the Great Fire of London, marking its 350th anniversary, and the rebuild that followed.

Part of the Islington Proms season, and featuring music by Morley, Byrd, Purcell, Haydn, Mozart, Bainton, Bairstow and Parry. With excerpts from the diary entries of Samuel Peyps and poetry extracts from Dryden and others.

The singers will be joined by The Epiphoni Players in orchestrated arrangements of works by Purcell, Mozart, Haydn and Parry, including the latter’s I Was Glad.
