Broadway musical composer, jazz saxophonist and pianist, electronic music pioneer, Milton Babbitt is regarded as one of America’s foremost musical geniuses. In this special 100th birthday tribute, you will hear songs from his musical ‘Fantastic Journey’ as well as his groundbreaking piece ‘Philomel’ for soprano and tape plus performances of his very last works performed here for the first time.

As part of this concert, I shall be performing Babbitt’s moving Widow’s  Lament in Springtime.
